TJ Pursley is a performer and activist originally from Orlando, FL, where he found a love of music singing gospel in his church choir. He's gone on to train classically under Dr. Jeffrey Redding, Gabriel Preisser and now Elaine Pechasek. He served as a youth ambassador for Orlando's Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center and as the National Secretary for Gamma Phi Delta Inc. from 2015 - 2018. He is currently pursuing his Bachelors of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre and a minor in dance at Florida Atlantic University. There he has co-founded the Black Undergraduate Theatre Collective in response to a lack of cultural representation within his curriculum. This experience has sculpted his priority in uplifting minority voices within the arts and educating his community through engagement with culturally enhancing work.
