PERFORM
We will share the music of many composers who are less commonly explored because they do not fit the “standard” canon. Concerts will be open to all members of the community, and will feature guests from Cincinnati and beyond. In the future we hope to travel and reach more areas in Ohio, the Midwest, and all of the United States! We are opening to commissioning new works and partnering with composers to premiere and perform existing repertoire.
ENGAGE
Beyond the Score: Community Conversations was created to further discussion about action we can take to support underrepresented groups both within the music industry and day-to-day. As we rehearse for performances, we will invite members of the Greater Cincinnati area, and facilitate forums around representation and identity that align with the repertoire we are exploring.
INSPIRE
Be Heard: Become the Future of Music is a multi-part workshop series focused on supplying high school students with the tools needed for a successful career in music. We will explore topics such as: music degree options and college curriculum, audition preparation, selecting the right program for your needs, and assistance with the research and application process. Beginning Fall 2022, we plan to implement a one-on-one mentorship program to connect local students with members of our ensemble.
